Steven Square Neighborhood

The Steven Square-Loring Heights neighborhood, while just under a mile wide and only three blocks tall, is home to 4,000 residents, making it one of the densest areas in the region. Just south of downtown Minneapolis, SS-LH is surrounded by I-94 to the north, Interstate 35W to the east, Franklin Avenue to the south and Lyndale Avenue to the west. The community is centered around Stevens Square Park, where residents can play basketball, walk dogs, and attend regular events sponsored by the Stevens Square Community Organization. Check out the popular Boiler Room coffee shop and the seasonal Farmers’ Market on Franklin Avenue.
